Many bodybuilders put their kit in a labeled gym bag pocket. With testosterone self-injection, you get it. Serious side effects can include liver problems if your testosterone is too high for too long. A few develop depression symptoms they didn’t expect. Lastly, to investigate month-to-month variation, saliva and blood samples were collected (before 10.00h), once a month over four months. To investigate week-to-week variation, saliva and blood samples were collected (before 10.00h) once a week over 4 weeks. To investigate diurnal variation, two samples of saliva and blood were collected over 24 h (before 10.00 h and 22.00h) 12 h apart. To investigate circhoral variation, three samples of saliva and blood were collected over 1 h (before 10.00h) at 30 min intervals. This was achieved using a research grade LC-MS/MS instrument specifically to improve the sensitivity of testosterone measurement in female samples. It was successfully used to monitor the stability of testosterone and is suitable to investigate testosterone level in clinical practice and clinical research. In unprocessed samples, it was stable for 24 h at room temperature (≥97%), 8 weeks at −20°C (≥91%), or after three freeze-and-thaw cycles (≥82%). Bias is calculated as measured level minus nominal level/nominal level time 100. Thus, determining testosterone level is important in the management of sex hormonal disorders in both men and women.
